Switched to a 3/8 endmill on a job I always used 1/4 inch for
Had to cut some aluminum brackets for a local shop in Denver and figured I'd try a bigger tool since I was going deep anyway. The finish came out way cleaner and I shaved 8 minutes off the cycle time. Anyone else notice big gains from just changing tool size on jobs you set up years ago?

Buddy of mine tried the same thing and cracked a vise.

Jeez, no kidding? That's wild. I've seen some serious force applied to vises before but actually cracking one takes some doing. That buddy of yours must have really been leaning into it. I gotta say I'm a little impressed honestly.
