Serious question: Has a family member ever given you useful shop advice?
My wife noticed my feed rate was off just by hearing the machine, and she was right. It made me think about how outside perspectives can catch things we miss.

Yeah my dad does that too, just by the sound of things.

Is it a dad thing maybe? Mine can tell what's on the stove from two rooms away.
