I tried to cut a tiny gear for a model train with a 1/16 end mill and the thing flew across the shop like a bullet.

Sounds pretty dramatic for a tiny piece of plastic.

You think plastic can't be dangerous? That tiny gear was spinning at thousands of RPM. It's basically a miniature shuriken launched by a machine.

Seen plastic shrapnel cut through safety glasses, so yeah, it's no joke.
