Hit 10,000 parts on my old Haas and I'm honestly surprised it still holds tolerance

Maybe it's just me but everyone I work with swaps machines way too early. My shop's got a 2011 Haas VF-2 that everyone calls the beater. I've been running the same production job on it for about 14 months now. Yesterday the counter rolled past 10,000 parts and I checked every tenth part on the CMM. It's still holding plus/minus 0.0005 on a bore that has zero room for error. People tell me I'm crazy for not pushing for a new machine but this thing just runs. The spindle has some noise on warmup but it never affects the cut. Has anyone else hit a crazy part count on a machine they were told was done years ago? What's your number before you actually had to retire one?

That beater probably outlasts the new ones, right?
