Finally got a .001 tolerance on my first 5th axis part

I've been running a Haas UMC-750 for about 6 months now and finally landed a feature within a tenth. It was a boss on a aluminum bracket for a aerospace job, I had to dial in the work offset three times before I got it. What really did it was switching to a single point boring head instead of an endmill for the finish pass. Has anyone else had better luck with boring heads for tight tolerances?

Honestly that's like getting a parking spot right up front. Feels impossible but so good when it hits.

The "feels impossible" part used to sound like exaggeration to me. But after chasing something for months and finally getting it, I get it now. That front row parking spot comparison is dead on.
