Overheard a guy at the local copy shop losing his mind over a missing K plate
I was picking up some flyers for my shop yesterday and this dude was yelling at the counter about his wedding invites. He designed them in RGB and the printer caught it but the black text wasn't set to 100% K, it was rich black made from CMY too. So they ran a test print, the black looked muddy and the registration was off on like 20 of them. Has anyone else dealt with clients who swear their screen shows the perfect black and then get mad when it prints all fuzzy?

CMYK is literally designed for print, so maybe the guy should've hired a real designer instead of DIY-ing his wedding invites. I mean, if you're spending money on actual printing, you gotta learn the difference between screen and paper before losing it on a copy shop employee. Personally, that's just common sense to me but idk seems like a lot of people skip that part.

Yeah, people really don't think about how screens mess with colors until they're holding a stack of invites that look totally different...
