My old boss said rich black on small type is always wrong, now I'm not so sure
I grabbed coffee last week with a guy who ran a shop in Cincinnati for 20 years, and he said he refuses to use rich black on anything under 18 point because the trap looks muddy on cheap paper. But I've been running rich black on 12 point heads for our church newsletter and nobody has complained yet. Here's my thing though, he might just be spoiled by better presses than mine. Do you all go rich black on small type or stick with plain K only? I really want to settle this.
