Hit exactly 500 misprints before noon today and had to laugh
I was proofing a batch of church bulletins for First Methodist up the street, and my digital proof showed everything in CMYK. But the actual print came out with this weird neon green that looked radioactive. Turns out I left one tiny spot color locked in from their old logo file, and it threw off the whole run of 500. Has anyone else found a rogue spot color hiding in a file that looked clean at first glance?

3rd time this month I've heard someone blame a spot color when actually it was operator error not double checking the separations. Maybe that neon green was a blessing in disguise calling out a workflow gap.

Right? That neon green sounds like a cry for HELP from the printing gods. Honestly @the_diana probably has a point about workflow gaps but sometimes you just want to laugh at the absurdity of it all. I once found a cyan dot the size of a pinhead hiding in a white box layer that turned an entire prayer book into a sea-foam nightmare. Blessing in disguise or not I'll take the radioactive look over that any day.
