Unpopular opinion: a pressman in Toledo told me to print greens with more magenta, and my shop split in half over it
He pulled my 4 color proof off the wall at a trade show and pointed at the yellow plate, saying I was adding yellow when I should be pulling magenta back, and half my crew swears by his rule while the other half says it kills the leaf tones in our shirts, so which side are you on?
Hold on, you might be mixing up your plates there. If the pressman was pointing at the yellow plate, the fix he's talking about would be adding magenta to cool the green down, not pulling it back, since green is yellow plus cyan and magenta is what mutes it. Pulling magenta back would push you more yellow-green, which is the exact opposite of what a guy worried about too much yellow would tell you. So maybe the real fight is that half your crew heard him right and half didn't, because those are two totally different moves on press.
