My print rep told me to add 8% magenta to my forest green ink mix and it worked
I was trying to hit a deep forest green for a run of 150 shirts and kept landing on a muddy olive, so my rep at the shop in Portland said bump the magenta by 8% and it nailed it on the first pull. Now I'm wondering if that same trick holds for dark teal or if I'm just going to make mud, anyone tried it?
Bumping magenta by 8% for a green is some kind of wizard math I will never fully get, my color theory is basically "add more until it stops looking sad." For dark teal though, I'd grab a test shirt first, that one's already half blue and I'd bet you hit mud pretty fast.
