DAE stress over trimming a dark navy design after a bad black shirt run last year?
Last year I printed a run of navy shirts with a heavy black underbase and the whole batch came out muddy and gray, so this time I tested two setups side by side on 12 scrap shirts: one with 90% black underbase and one at 70%, using a local shop's 230 mesh screens here in Cleveland. The 70% version kept the navy crisp and let the cotton texture breathe, and the 90% version looked like wet cement under the dryer light. Anyone else got a magic underbase percentage for dark garments, or am I just lucky that 70 worked?
