Why does my wide format printer hate metallic vinyl all of a sudden?

Was running a banner job yesterday for a local car show in Tulsa and the metallic silver vinyl started peeling off the backing mid cut. I have run this exact roll before with zero issues, but now every single contour cut curls up like a potato chip. Got through 3 tries before I realized the shop temp dropped to 62 degrees because the heater died overnight. Warmed the room up to 74 and it cut clean on the first pass. Does temperature sensitivity hit metallic films harder than regular vinyl for anyone else or am I just lucky with my other rolls?
