Took 6 weeks to fix a line that showed up on every 11x17 proof

My wide format printer kept putting a thin white line through every cyan area, only on 11x17 sheets, not on 8.5x11. I swapped heads, cleaned nozzles 4 times, and even changed the RIP settings twice. Turns out the paper guide on the left side was slightly bent and pressing on the roll, has anyone else had a dumb mechanical issue that hid behind software updates for a month?

Honestly, that sounds like the paper guide was the problem all along. You spent six weeks changing heads and messing with RIP settings while the actual issue was a bent piece of metal pressing on the roll. I get why you went the software route first, because that's the usual suspect. But a mechanical thing like that would show up on every sheet size, not just 11x17. If the guide only touches the roll at that width, it makes sense it only messed with that size. I think you might have skipped the simple physical check because you were too deep in the digital side of it.
