My plotter chewed through a 24x36 poster 3 inches from the end, and I think I know why
Last Thursday I was printing a batch of 12 event posters on our old 36 inch plotter and the roller grabbed the sheet at an angle about 3 inches from the finish. The whole bottom corner crumpled into the feed path and jammed so hard I had to pull the sheet out by hand. I found a wadded up piece of tape stuck to the grit roller that was lifting one side of the paper just enough to throw the tracking off. Cleaned it with a lint free cloth and a little rubbing alcohol and ran the batch again with no problems. Has anyone else had grit rollers get sticky like that, and do you clean them on a schedule or just wait for a jam?
