A pressman in Fort Worth said my magenta was fine at 12:30am and he was dead wrong
Last Thursday I was running a 500 piece run of business cards at 12:30am and the magenta kept looking pink in the flood lights, so I called a pressman I know in Fort Worth and he swore my color was fine. I trusted him and ran all 500 sheets before cutting them down, and now every single card has a pink cast on the logo that you can see in normal daylight. I've been second guessing my own eyes on press checks for 8 months and this is the last time I let someone over the phone talk me out of what I'm seeing on the sheet. From now on I pull a proof outside before I commit to any run, no matter how dead tired I am. Has anyone else been burned by trusting a buddy's read over their own pull sheet?
