PSA: I color coded my design folders and now I can't find anything
I gave every project folder its own color in Finder last month, and now 47 folders are all some shade of blue-green because I ran out of real colors. My system actually made things worse, so I'm back to plain folders with dates at the front. Does anyone have a naming trick that doesn't need a color wheel?
Dude, colors are fine, you just went overboard. The trick is to only color code like 5 things you touch every day (current clients, stuff due this week, whatever) and leave the other 40 folders plain, because nobody can tell the difference between teal and seafoam anyway. Honestly the date-first naming thing you went back to is already better than any color system, so maybe the colors were never the problem.
