A coffee shop in Austin changed how I name my design files
I watched a barista label every syrup bottle with just a date and a code, then realized my 47 layers named 'final_v2' were the real mess, so now I use that same system and my last 3 file handoffs went smooth, anyone else steal organization tricks from unrelated places?

Ha, that's honestly genius. Meanwhile my design files look like a crime scene with 'final_USE_THIS_v5_final2.psd' buried somewhere. Maybe it's just me but I once named a folder 'logo stuff' and then spent a week terrified to open it because I knew it was bad. The date and code thing sounds way too logical for my brain, but I might try it just to prove I can be an adult with my layers. My last handoff only needed three 'hey, that's the wrong file' emails, so really we're all just doing our best out here.
