Used to set my thermostat at 68 all winter no matter what
I used to just crank the heat and not think about it. Last winter I started keeping it at 62 and wearing a sweater instead, and my gas bill dropped by about $40 a month. Has anyone else seen a big difference from just a few degrees?

Good for you... I did the same thing and it really adds up.

Did you catch that article in the news about the new budget rules... it talked about how little things like this add up over time. It mentioned that even small changes can save you hundreds a month if you stick with them. I read some study that said people who track their spending like that end up saving way more than they think. My own grocery bill went down by almost $40 a week just from planning ahead...
