Switched to a rain barrel and saw my water bill drop $20 in 3 months

I put in a 50 gallon rain barrel off my garage downspout back in April. By July my water bill had gone down about $20 compared to the same time last year. I was watering my veggie garden and some flower beds with it almost every evening. The barrel paid for itself after like 6 months honestly. Anyone else try this and see actual savings on their water bill?

Hooked mine up to both the front and back downspouts with a diverter kit. Ended up catching about 80 gallons on a good rain day and my bill dropped closer to $25 over the summer. The kicker was my tomatoes didn't get that weird leaf curl they used to get with tap water, which saved me some grief.
