Switched to a heat pump water heater last summer, my electric bill dropped $40 a month

I swapped out my old gas water heater for a Rheem hybrid heat pump model back in June. Thought it would take forever to pay off but my summer bills went from $120 to $80 each month. Did anyone else see that kind of savings or did I just get lucky with my basement temps?

Ha, tell me about it @the_gray. Summer deals are always a letdown.
