Shoutout to the refill station at my local co-op in Madison

Went in yesterday for laundry detergent and noticed they had a bulk refill section for soaps and stuff. Brought my old bottle back, filled it up for $1.20 vs the $6 for a new one. Small thing but Ive been meaning to cut down on plastic for ages. Anyone else got a spot near them that does this? Feels like a no brainer once you find it.

Funny, I had the opposite experience at a place near me that tried this. The pump jammed, the soap came out all watery, and I ended up paying more per ounce than the regular bottle because I had to refill it twice. Plus nobody knows what's actually in those big drums, could be some sketchy off-brand stuff that wrecks your skin. Co-ops love charging extra for the "green" label, that's how they get you in the door. I'll stick with the plastic bottle from Target, at least I know what I'm getting and it's way more convenient. This whole thing only works if you happen to live close enough to actually go there, otherwise you're burning gas and time for a buck off.
