PSA: My attic insulation project for climate savings got real ugly fast
I started adding insulation to my attic to save on energy and lower my carbon footprint. It seemed like a simple do-it-yourself task from the videos I watched. But when I moved the old batting, I found a huge mess of mouse droppings and shredded insulation. Now I have to clean all that out and maybe call an exterminator, which adds a lot of extra work and cost. It's annoying because I just wanted to help the planet, not deal with this. Every time I try to make my home greener, something like this pops up. Makes me think we need more honest stories about these kinds of setbacks.
