My neighbor called my recycling bin 'wish-cycling' last month
She pointed out all the greasy pizza boxes and plastic film I was tossing in. I looked it up, realized I was contaminating the whole batch. Now I keep a list on my fridge of what our plant in Toledo actually takes. Anyone else have a simple rule that helped them sort better?

My neighbor would probably call my whole life wish-cycling. The fridge list is a good idea though, might steal that.

Honestly, the whole system feels broken. My local plant only recycles #1 and #2 plastic, so I just toss everything else. It's not worth the mental energy to keep track.
