I used to think composting was too much work for one person

I tried a small countertop bin in my Seattle apartment last month and it's way easier than I expected. I just toss in veggie scraps and coffee grounds, and it only needs emptying every 10 days or so. Has anyone else found a simple method that actually stuck for them?

You mentioning the countertop bin really hits home. I started with a big backyard setup and it felt like a chore. Switching to a small bin like you did made it just part of my kitchen routine. It's not a big project anymore, it's just where the peels go. That simple switch is what made it stick for me long term.

Found the same thing with a small bin by the sink.
