Drove my F-150 to work every day for 3 years before I figured out my mistake

I was dropping my kid at school on the same route as the bus and realized I was burning 15 gallons a week for nothing. That bus was already going right past my house and I just never thought to check the schedule. Anyone else find a simple daily habit that was way worse for the planet than you assumed?

Man that's rough but honestly it happens to the best of us. So let me ask you this - do you actually know how much money you were burning on gas compared to the bus fare? Like did you sit down and do the math on what 15 gallons was costing you per week or month? Because I bet it's way more than you think, especially with gas prices all over the place lately. Tbh most people just keep doing things out of habit and never stop to add up the real cost over a year or two. That's usually where the big numbers start showing up and it hurts.
