My brother started biking to his job last spring, and it's been wild to see the ripple effect. We used to drive everywhere for our Sunday get-togethers, but now we pick spots within biking range from his place. Last month, we had a picnic at a park he can pedal to, and we all brought food in reusable containers. It got us talking about how much gas we save and what else we can cut back on. My mom even started composting after seeing how little trash we had that day. I mean, it's not huge, but watching one person's choice spread through the house makes me think small acts add up.
