That client who wanted 'a quick logo tweak' ended up costing me 22 emails and 3 weeks of my life.

They asked for a color change on Monday, then by Friday they wanted a full rebrand because their cousin said the font looked 'too corporate', and it took me 3 weeks to finally get them to approve something that was practically the same as my first draft has anyone else had a small request balloon into a month long project?

Is it possible you just let them run you around too much? I get that clients can be annoying, but sometimes we teach people how to treat us. If you had said on day two that the scope changed and they needed a new contract or a higher price, they might have figured out what they actually wanted a lot faster. I set hard limits from the start now, like you get two revision rounds included and after that it costs extra. It stops the cousin comments and the month long nonsense pretty quick. Not trying to blame you, just saying that drawing the line early saves your sanity.
