Client chose the "quick logo fiverr guy" over my $1,200 quote, guess how that went
Had a guy in Denver last month pick a $50 Fiverr logo over my $1,200 full brand package, said his nephew could "clean it up later" for free. Three weeks later he calls me back because the file was a blurry PNG with no vector and his printer needed one for a banner that was due Friday. Do you all charge extra when they come crawling back after the cheap option blows up, or just walk away?
I used to think walking away was the clean move but honestly that just hands the mess to the next guy and he tells everyone branding is a scam. Better to quote the full package again, plus a rush fee since it's now urgent, and put the vector file in writing this time. If he balks at that, at least he learned the cheap lesson on someone else's dime instead of yours.
