Client asked for 'pop' then rejected every color I tried
Had a logo job back in March for a coffee shop in Austin. The owner kept saying she wanted the design to 'pop' but when I sent three versions with bright oranges and teals, she said they were too loud. Switched to muted pastels, she said it looked like a baby brand. Switched to bold reds and yellows, she said it reminded her of a fast food chain. After 8 rounds over 2 weeks, she finally admitted she wanted it to match a Pinterest board she'd never shared with me. She sent the link and the colors were basically black and cream. I charged her for the extra revisions but she left a 2 star review saying I didn't listen. Has anyone else had a client hide their actual reference until the very end?
