I offered 3 logo options instead of 1, client picked none, then asked for 12 more
I got this coffee shop gig in Tacoma about 2 months ago and decided to try something new, so I sent them 3 different logo directions instead of just one like I usually do. Figured more choices meant faster yes and a happier client. Instead they said all 3 felt "not quite right" and asked me to make 12 more so they could "see the full range." I did 12 more over a week and they still didn't pick any of them, then hired someone off Instagram for $75. I learned that giving clients more options just turns a pick into a shopping trip and they forget they only need one. Anyone else had a client treat your work like a buffet instead of a decision?
