Hit 500 cleanings this week without a single redo
Not trying to brag or anything but I just did my 500th sweep this week and not one of them needed a call back for missed soot or a damaged damper. That matters to me because I went independent after 8 years with a company that rushed everything. I track every job in a notebook. Found out my average is about 14 minutes per sweep with a rotary brush. What's your record for consecutive cleanings without a complaint?

I've been tracking my own numbers and 14 minutes is solid. My best streak was 412 cleanings in a row without a callback, but I had a bad damper that slipped past me and broke that run. Your 500 is impressive, especially going out on your own where you control the pace.

You ever have one of those moments where you realize you've been thinking about something the wrong way for years? That's kinda where I'm at with this. I used to be convinced that going solo meant you'd inevitably cut corners or miss stuff like that damper you mentioned since there's nobody double-checking your work. But hearing you talk about your numbers and that 500 streak makes me think I had it backwards - maybe being on your own actually forces you to be more careful because every callback hits your reputation directly.
