Dropped $80 on a fancy new fish spatula and it started warping on day 3
Honestly, I thought spending a little extra on a high-end fish turner would be a solid investment for flipping delicate fillets at the station. Ngl, by the third service it was already bending under a salmon filet, and now it's basically useless. Anyone else had luck with a specific brand that actually holds up under heat?

80 bucks is steep but honestly thats not that crazy for a quality fish spatula. The issue is probably the metal gauge they used, a lot of those "premium" ones are way too thin for commercial use. My Wusthof one (about same price) has been through hell and still sits flat.

$80 for a spatula? Come on now, thats a whole car payment for some people. Val_taylor you might have a point about the metal gauge but are we really acting like home cooks need commercial grade stuff to flip a piece of fish in their own kitchen? I can grab a perfectly good one at the restaurant supply store for 12 bucks and itll last me years. Unless you're running a busy fry station this whole debate feels like overthinking a fish turner.
