That time I cut a pad piece backwards on a big office job

I was doing a 5000 square foot office in Phoenix and realized I'd cut a whole section of pad with the vapor barrier facing up. Had to pull up two rows of carpet to flip it before the glue set. Anyone else ever have a brain freeze moment like that with the pad?

Oh man, "vapor barrier facing up" is a special kind of panic. I did that on a whole bedroom once, but with the foam side down on a concrete slab. The sound was just awful, like walking on plastic bags. Had to tear it all out before the homeowner saw.

Ugh, that crunching sound is the worst. I saw a video where a guy said putting the barrier wrong can trap moisture and ruin the floor, @the_piper. Makes that redo sound totally worth it.
