That stubborn seam that kept popping up on a 40 foot hallway in a new build

Spent nearly 6 full hours trying to get a single seam to lay flat on a metal stair nose transition because the glue wouldn't tack right in that cold draft from the basement door, has anyone else run into temperature issues messing with your seam work?

Oh man, that "stubborn seam" hits way too close to home. Last winter I was trying to do a vinyl plank transition in a hallway and the cold draft from an old window made the glue just sit there like cold butter, wouldn't tack at all. I ended up using a hairdryer to warm up the floor and the seam before pressing it down, and even then I think I stood on it for like 15 minutes like a complete idiot hoping it would hold. Temperature is a sneaky monster, it'll mess with your work when you least expect it and make you question your whole life choices.
