That stair nose seam took me 8 hours yesterday, felt like a rookie
Started a job off Route 22 in Union, NJ and the stair nose pieces just would not line up on the landing curve. Took me until 4 PM to realize the subfloor had a 1/4 inch hump right where the transition sat, never caught it on the initial measure. I burned through two full blades and a tube of seam adhesive before I thought to check with a straightedge. Has anyone else dealt with a curved stair nose that fought back this bad, or do you just always plane the subfloor first?
