That seam iron I almost returned is now my favorite tool

I bought a cheap seam iron from Home Depot last year thinking it would fall apart in a month, but it's still going strong after 50+ jobs. The one thing that sold me was how the plate heats evenly even on tight corners. Anyone else find a budget tool that actually holds up?

Bought a cheap heat gun from Harbor Freight that I figured would melt on first use. Two years later it's still toasting things just fine. Sometimes the universe sends us a victory dance for buying cheap.

Got a 4-pack of their cheap multimeters for like 12 bucks a few years back. Thought they'd be dead within a week, maybe give me a shock or something. Three of them still work, one went haywire after I dropped it off a ladder but that's on me not the tool. Thing is, I've spent way more on stuff from the big box stores that crapped out in half the time. Makes you wonder if sometimes the cheap stuff is just... fine. Not great, not junk, just fine. And sometimes fine is all you really need.
