Power stretcher vs knee kicker, did the 3-foot difference change my seams
Been doing this 14 years, always used a knee kicker for tight seams. Last month I finally bought a power stretcher for a 40-foot living room in Boise, and the seams look way cleaner, I'm not sure if it's the tool or just that I paid more attention. Anyone else switch over and find the extra setup time actually worth it?

That power stretcher hype is REAL, but I gotta disagree a little. Fourteen years on a knee kicker means your body already knows how to get a seam tight by feel. The new tool just made you slow down and check every inch, that's where the cleaner seams came from. Give it three months and you'll be right back to your old speed, then see if the seams still look better. The extra setup time ain't worth it for most rooms under 20 feet, I've seen guys burn an hour setting that thing up for a hallway. But hey, if it works for you and your back, keep at it. Just don't blame the knee kicker for a lazy day.
