My power stretcher head snapped off in a client's living room yesterday

Last head I snapped was a cheap china model, not the same as my usual one lol. Those budget stretchers use brittle pot metal that just can't take the torque of a full stretch. Better off spending the extra 50 bucks on a known brand next time.

Check the screw holes on the head for stripped threads from overtightening.

Yeah damaged screw holes are a pain. If they're stripped you can clean up the threads with a tap or replace the head altogether. Just don't keep cranking down on it if it feels loose - that's how you crack the plastic.
