Kicked a tack strip getting out of a truck in Richmond last Tuesday

Aw man, that's a rough one! I feel your pain (literally, I think my foot just sympathized from here). I did the same thing last year and spent a good 20 minutes pulling those little tacks out of my foot, like some kind of weird, painful arts and crafts project. My wife laughed at me hopping around the garage, which I guess was fair because I'd warned everyone about the tack strip but then stepped right on it anyway. Hope you're not limping through your whole week like I was!

The tacks are the worst part, especially when you think you got them all and then find one more hiding in the carpet an hour later. I made the mistake of trying to sweep them up with a broom first, which just sent them flying everywhere. Ended up on my hands and knees with a flashlight and a magnet, which felt ridiculous but actually worked pretty well.
