Can we talk about that $80 knee pad upgrade I finally bought

I got the fancy gel ones after my old foam pads gave out on a big job in a two-story house, and I swear they made my knees feel twenty years younger by the end of the day. The crazy part was finding a single, perfect, tiny white marble from the 70s perfectly preserved under the old padding when I ripped it up. What's the weirdest thing you've ever found under an old carpet?

Just a few old coins and some broken pottery, nothing too exciting. Honestly, the best finds are usually in the corners people forget to check. Did you have any luck over there?

Wait, are we still pretending digging through 200 year old trash is actually exciting? I mean, I get it, some people really get into the history of it all, but at the end of the day you're just holding someone's old garbage. My buddy dragged me to a dig once and I spent most of the time wondering why we couldn't just look at pictures of the stuff instead of getting dirt under our nails. The pottery was nice I guess, but I wouldn't call it a life changing experience.
