Vent: A simple pocket hole jig setup took me 4 hours yesterday, what a disaster

I spent all day adjusting that cheap jig to get the angles right and I still ended up with three bad joints, has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something that should take twenty minutes?

Man that stings, I've definitely been there with those cheap jigs - the little plastic height gauge wore down on mine after like three uses and threw everything off.

Respect that you struggled but honestly 4 hours on a pocket hole jig sounds like you were overthinking it. Ngl those cheap jigs are finicky but once you just clamp it tight and go they work fine. Maybe skip the height gauge and just eyeball it next time.
