TIL that old woodworker's rule about not using pressure treated lumber indoors

Overheard a guy at the lumber yard in Denver telling his apprentice to never bring PT wood inside for framing. Said the chemicals can eat your fasteners in like 5 years. I've been using it in my basement shop for shelves and now I'm wondering if I should rip it all out. Anyone else run into this problem with their own projects?
