The week I framed a 2,400 sq ft house in 4 days with my brother in law and it almost killed us
My brother in law and I took a framing job in Boise last month and the guy wanted the whole shell up in a week, so we were running 10 hour days in 95 degree heat. By Thursday I was so wiped I toenailed a stud right through my own thumb and had to drive myself to urgent care with a rag wrapped around it. We still finished the walls and trusses by Friday afternoon, but I sat in my truck for twenty minutes before I could even turn the key. Looking back, we should have just told him a week was not happening instead of trying to be heroes. What is the dumbest deadline you ever agreed to just to keep a builder happy?
