The 3/4 plywood at the lumber yard feels different now

Stopped by the yard outside Cincinnati this week and grabbed a sheet of 3/4. It weighed maybe 15 pounds less than what I used to haul in 2004 for the same grade. These days I plan around picks, because every other sheet has a soft patch or a void right where I need to cut. Anybody else notice the quality slide, or is it just my luck with this supplier?

Ugh, tell me about it. I've noticed the same thing with the sheets I've been getting, it's like they're using different trees or something. Do you think it's just a bad batch from that supplier, or have you seen this weight drop across multiple yards in the last few years? I'm curious if the 15 pounds is a real, consistent thing or if I just got lucky (or unlucky, I guess) with my last few loads.
