That $60 laser level I laughed at in the store saved my whole kitchen remodel

Walked into Home Depot last month with a list of stuff for a kitchen job in Denver. Saw this Bosch laser level with a green beam, price tag said $60. I told my helper no way, my old spirit level is fine. He kept bugging me about it for two days, saying the 6 foot long plank I kept leveling was wasting time. Finally caved on the third trip. Ran the laser across the cabinet line and marked the studs in 10 minutes. Old way took me an hour easy. Did the whole rough-in for the soffit and crown molding without re-checking anything. My helper just looked at me and said told you so. Anyone else fight a tool upgrade and then can't remember how you worked without it?
