Switched from a framing hammer to a finish hammer for trim work and it changed my accuracy completely

I spent 10 years using a 22-ounce framing hammer on everything including baseboards and casing. Last month on a job in Dayton I finally tried a 14-ounce Vaughan finish hammer for a living room full of prefinished maple. The lighter head let me place nail sets exactly where I wanted without the extra swing momentum. Has anyone else noticed a big difference switching hammer weights for different tasks?

Ten years with a framing hammer on trim? You're a madman.

Does your wrist still work? Ten years of that would have me in a brace for sure. You must have some serious arm control to tap that hard without destroying baseboards. I used a finish hammer for a year and still over drove a few nails.
