Spent 6 hours on a Miter saw setup. My old Craftsman beats the new DeWalt.
The DeWalt needed constant recalibration. My beat up Craftsman stays dead on for weeks. Anybody else find older tools more reliable?

Is that recalibration issue something you notice with a specific blade size or cut type?

My buddy Mike ran into this with his 12 inch blade last week. He's been using that same saw for years without issues, then all of a sudden the cuts started wandering on rip cuts through oak. He spent like two hours messing with the fence and blade alignment before he figured out the calibration was off by almost a sixteenth of an inch. Took him another hour to get it dialed back in, and now he has to check it every time he switches between crosscuts and rips. He says it only happens with the bigger blades too, his 10 inch one is still rock solid.
