Spent $350 on a track saw after years of fighting with a circular saw and a straightedge

I finally bought a Festool track saw last month after convincing myself for 5 years that my old method was just as good, but after cutting 20 sheets of plywood for a built-in project without one single blowout or wandering cut, I honestly don't know why I waited so long. Anybody else have a tool they resisted buying that ended up paying for itself in time saved?

Bought a biscuit joiner three years ago and used it exactly once before realizing I had no idea what biscuits actually did. Finally dusted it off last month for a shelf project and spent an hour just staring at the tool trying to remember which side faces up. Now I own a $200 paperweight that occasionally makes fancy slots, but at least the shelves don't wobble.
