Overheard a contractor at the lumberyard say miter saws are for beginners

Told my crew about it at lunch and we laughed for a good minute before someone pointed out that guy probably still uses a hand plane to trim door casings, has anyone else run into hardcore gatekeepers like that on a job site?

Man "miter saws are for beginners" oh that's rich. Ran into a guy once who said anything less than a track saw is just for hobbyists. He was still cutting trim with a circular saw and a speed square on top of an upturned bucket.

Kinda feel attacked over here with my miter saw on a folding table that wobbles if I look at it wrong. But hey, at least my cuts are... mostly straight.
