Hot take: I think scribing to walls is way overhyped for baseboards
Ngl, I spent like three hours last Thursday fighting with a scribe tool on some wavy plaster walls for a living room trim job. I kept thinking I had to get it perfect, matching every dip and bump with the wood. But after the first two pieces still had gaps, I just grabbed some caulk and backer rod and knocked out the whole room in 45 minutes. Honestly, the other side of this is that purists say scribing gives you that true craftsman look and lasts longer without shrinkage. But for the average homeowner who's just gonna paint over it anyway, is that extra time really worth it? I'm curious how many of you actually scribe every single baseboard vs using fillers and calling it a day. What's your cutoff for when scribing is necessary?

Did you rage quit building after that or did you find a way to calm down and finish the project?
